The execution layer.
Most inconsistent traders I work with don't have a knowledge problem. They understand trading and many understand their strategies. But time and again they still round-trip. The scope of this work is to fill the gap between knowledge and execution under pressure.
- Trade ReviewWe go through your actual trades and grade them on the decision, not the outcome. Good wins and bad wins, good losses and bad losses.
- Beliefs and Emotional RegulationWe dig into what you believe about trading, money, and risk, and how those beliefs shape your response to pressure. "Trading without emotions" is just suppression; and suppressed emotion tends to resurface somewhere less convenient. This work is to understand yourself well enough that emotions can exist, but stop running your account.
- StructureAudit and solidify your strategy and rules, then building the routine that makes you run them: pre-market prep, in-trade discipline, post-session review.
- AccountabilityThis is the single biggest thing coaching gives you. Professionals at trading firms succeed largely because someone holds them accountable for what they did and why. Independent traders have no such structure, so blind spots go unchallenged.
"Market analysis is not the path to consistent results. It will not solve the trading problems created by lack of confidence, lack of discipline, or improper focus." Mark Douglas, Trading in the Zone
- Traders who understand trading, have their own strategies, but can't stay consistent.
- Active traders with live capital and real screen time.
- Willing to be fully transparent.
- Willing to be held accountable — and to hear it when the answer isn't what you wanted.
- Able to commit to regularly scheduled calls and "homework".
Every time I've shown someone how I trade, it never lasted. They'd thank me, round-trip their gains, and disappear. Strategy isn't what determines whether you last. Understanding yourself, managing risk, and discipline are what lead to long term success. But even though trading "coaches and mentors" are abundant, they all just focus on strategy, trade alerts, and "watch me do it". The emotional and mental side gets relegated to boilerplate, impersonal advice you can find on any YouTube video. And most of them stopped trading seriously years ago — they're coaching from memory.
There's a self-interested reason too. I've traded for sixteen years. But like any career, there is a version of me that will want to retire from it or take a big step back. At this point in my life, coaching, teaching, building businesses, and solving problems are all vastly more fulfilling to me than staring at charts every day.
